At this time of year parents are constantly looking for gift ideas for their gymnast daughter. The common questions I get is,” Which one to I get and where do I get it?”. Well I am going to give you some tips and place to be able to purchase these thing for the holidays. I will be separating these gifts by levels to help you understand more about them.
This bar may be very reasonable, however it would be more beneficially used for a gymnast that is in a preschool class, Beginning Class or Level 1 class. After that it maybe very wobbly for other skill and may be dangerous after that point. It will also need a mat underneath which is sold separately and can be purchased with the following link: We Sell Mats Lightweight Folding 2 Inch Thick Fitness & Exercise Mat, 4′ x 8′, Purple/Pink
This little spring board is an excellent price and will be great for your preschool or child under 40lbs. This is great for a gymnast learning how to jump on the spring board and beginning vaulting and they can jump from the spring board onto the panel mat listed with the link above. There is also this mat with a little more cushion and be used with the bar as well as another option in the following link:Tumbl Trak Jr. Practice Mat Gymnastics Crash Pad, Purple
This cheese mat is great for kids from preschool to Level 2 and is very easy to store since it is small. After that they will require something a little bigger which can be found in the following link: gymmatsdirect Folding Gymnastics Incline Mat Large Cheese Wedge Ramp Skill Shape Triangle Tumbling Mats 60″x30″x15″, Red/Blue/Yellow
The cheese mat in the following link can be used up until level 5, however requires more space to be able to store it since it is a lot bigger of a mat.
This springee foldable beam is great from preschool until level 5. It is on the ground so it is a lot more safe then others and it also folds so it is very convenient to store away. This is probably one of the best training beams to buy and you will get the most out of it.
Now here is another option instead of getting a stand alone bar, you can get a pull up bar and this will help your gymnast get stronger. This can last from level 1 all the way until level 10. It is a great way to help with strength.
They do offer some bundles, which are great because sometimes you can get a great discount and can let and athlete longer in their career. For example:
This bundle had a low beam which is great from Level 1 until Level 4. It also has a small panel mat with is foldable and can be used separately. The bar is an extendable kip bar, so it can be used for learning kips in level 3 or 4 depending on the weight of the child.
This bundle is the same bar as listed above and can last until level 4. The beam however can last until Level 5 and some basic skills in the higher levels. What is nice about the beam is that it move up and down depending on how high you would want it. However, new skill are not recommended on this beam until it has been done several time in a class or at practice.
